Occupational Health Call Centre in Beaumont Hospital responds to 4568 calls during April

As part of the Hospitals response to the COVID-19 pandemic a call centre was set up to support Occupational Health to manage the increased volume of calls from staff relating to COVID-19.  The call centre is run by staff nurses and supported by HR and QPS.  In addition, IT supported Occupational Health by developing a data base to log and track calls.

During the month 5th April to the 3rd  May 2020, with this additional support Occupational Health were able to manage a total of 4568 incoming calls.  This included answering queries,  referrals  for testing,  provision of results and contact tracing.

The Occupational Health Call Centre continues to operate 7 days per week from 7.30am to 5pm each day.  A huge thank you to all staff involved in the Occupational Health Call Centre, many of whom have had to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
