Second Annual RCSI Hospital Group Advancing Nursing and Midwifery Practice Grand Rounds

A Reflective Journey: Annual RCSI Hospital Group Advancing Nursing and Midwifery Practice Grand Rounds Takes Place

The Second Annual RCSI Hospital Group Advancing Nursing and Midwifery Practice Grand Rounds was hosted by Drogheda this month with attendance from over 120 nurses and midwives from across the RCSI Hospital Group. We were delighted to have representation from the Chief Nursing office and CEO from the NMBI on the day. The event was kindly sponsored by RCSI University.

Each hospital across the RCSI HG have established Grand rounds which are a long established approach to teaching learning and sharing of best practices. The RCSI HG Grand rounds offers a platform to Advanced Nursing & Midwifery Practitioners and Clinical Nurse / Midwife Specialists, from across the Hospital Group and external to network and share their learning. Petrina Donnelly Chief Director of Nursing and Midwifery in the RCSI Hospital Group said “The opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues from across the hospital group and beyond is imperative to continued professional development across the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery. Advancing practice allows for new ways of working and has demonstrated positive impacts for patient care and outcomes”.
