Quality Improvement

img-633

Quality Improvement is a systematic approach to solving difficult issues. It is a structured method to help identify priorities, understand issues from different perspectives and identify new ideas which can then be tested.

It involves staff working together to implement innovative ideas which meet the needs of patients.

In the RCSI Hospital Group we use the Model for Improvement methodology to guide improvement projects. Project support includes both the theory of QI methodology and its application to practice-based projects.

The aim is to continuously improve the quality of care and services we provide for patients and families. To achieve this, we want to enable staff to proactively address quality problems in the workplace. In this section of the website, we provide a number of resources which staff can use to enhance their improvement skills, knowledge, and capabilities.

This section provides resources about planning, implementing and assessing Quality Improvement projects.
